About Eco Green Unit Foundation

Welcome to Eco Green Unit Foundation, a Section 8 non-profit organization
dedicated to transforming lives through sustainable agriculture and eco-friendly
practices. Since 1999, we’ve been on a mission to create a carbon footprint-free earth
by promoting regenerative farming, water restoration, afforestation, and wealth-from-
waste initiatives. Our grassroots approach empowers marginal farmers and rural
women, the backbone of our society, by providing training, resources, and market
access to foster self-sustainability and financial independence. Recognized by the
Government of India and supported by NABARD, KVIC, and TNAU, we operate
across 17 states in India and 7 countries globally, impacting over 25,000 green
entrepreneurs.

Our vision is a green, carbon-neutral planet where traditional farming methods revive
healthy soil, groundwater, and real food for a thriving society. We achieve this
through innovative, low-cost technologies and projects like areca leaf plate making,
banana fiber crafts, biochar production, and organic manure creation. By preserving
endangered medicinal herbs and promoting wealth-from-waste concepts, we ensure
sustainable livelihoods while reducing, reusing, and recycling. From training women
entrepreneurs in India and abroad to supporting refugees in Uganda, Tanzania,
Congo, Ivory Coast, Thailand, Srilanka and Somalia, we are sowing sustainability
and rooting futures.
